#1 Internet Franchise "WSI" recognized for online consumer security

Only the elderly and very young fall for Internet rip off artists’ scams, right?  Wrong.  In fact, people from all educational backgrounds and walks of life play right into the fall information spouted by chameleons operating as legitimate businesses on the web.

To counteract the terrible toll that such unethical behavior has taken on millions of consumers, a new consumer advocacy program has been launched by the WSI Net Scam – Ripoff Coalition.  Their overarching mission to act as a 24/7 watchdog by warning the public about con artists will be just the springboard for a full-blown attack against bogus schemes, operations, or franchises that are operated by cyber-based fake businesses.

Through dissemination of “buyer beware” alerts, the WSI group will debunk conspiracy theories in an attempt to separate the fake enterprises from legitimate corporations.  Their hope is to inform consumers in an attempt to expose false advertising, poor sales, franchise troubles, and unlawful business persons in order to help those legitimately operating individuals.  WSI is committed to working every hour of every day to stop fraudulent and despicable rip off artists from continuing to operate Internet-based pyramid structures.

WSI is currently gathering personal testimonies from persons who have been victimized by the dirty business schemes of con artists.  Readers of the WSI news bulletins – also posted on the  WSI website will be able to read firsthand accounts of the misleading emails spammers send out as a means of attracting new prey.  Readers will also learn about the horrible support associated with pyramid schemes.  With the public’s help, these stories (kept in an WSI masterfile) can be used to give strength to those who have been victimized.  It will also be invaluable to them should they wish to file a claim.  Although most consumers do not get involved in costly and emotionally draining class action lawsuits against the cyber thieves who stole their money, dignity, and, in some cases, security, they at least want others to learn from their experiences.

WSI will educate the public on the most recent high pressure sales, fraudulent activities, and cyber crimes; thus, its members will be virtual “super” men and women, seeking out con artists and fake businesses in the name of protecting the consumers of web products and services.  Through the systematic uncovering of liars and cheats, WSI hopes to gain media attention by delivering up-to-date WSI alerts, WSI press releases, and WSI articles.

For example, WSI will alert consumers by informing them of basic rip off “red flags” such as hard sell approaches and poor response time by pressuring sales emails that demand action today lest you “lose an opportunity to invest”.
WSI’s consumer advocacy program website will highlight information in the form of bulletins es such as “What to Do When an Online Organization Violates Your Trust” and “Why and How Scammers Operate Pyramid Schemes.”  The hope is that informative stories of this nature will alert consumers to help stem the tide of dishonesty online by starting an international discussion about bad experiences, unhappy customers, bankruptcy stories, unhappy suppliers, consumers or unhappy franchisees.  (And believe us – there are anecdotes from every corner of the globe because con artists are truly everywhere.)

For those unfortunate souls who consider themselves unhappy clients, having already been defrauded by online liars, the WSI coalition will be a location for them to discuss and discover their rights.  If they joined a multi level marketing scam, for instance, are they eligible for compensatory damages?  If they bought products or services that were never delivered, what can they do to get restitution?  WSI wants to answer those and other questions that victims often have.

Those who have fallen prey to slick con artists and their fake information will also find advice from people who have “been there.”  They can submit stories to WSI such as, “I fell for their lies!” and know that they will be communicating with someone who would be able to say… “They lied to me, too.”  There is truly strength in unity, and by learning from others experiences with their victimization, those who fell prey to scammers will be able to recover a sense of personal power and confidence.

There are currently any number of state, national, franchise and international consumer laws that protect individuals and businesses who have fallen for ripoff operators’ scams.  However, if you’ve already been taken in by shady business dealings, it’s sometimes tough to know what your next step should be.  Already burned once, many people inwardly label themselves “fools” and although they know they should do something, they are hesitant to come forward with information even though it could stop illegal company doings on a global scale.

The WSI coalition urges those who have been victimized by false information to share their stories with WSI.  Even if they choose to remain anonymous and to never file a claim or class action lawsuit against the criminal who disrupted their lives, WSI still wants to hear from them.  WSI will never reveal anyone’s identity, only his or her experience of being ripped off by scammers distributing fake information and operating online scams.

Of course, the WSI advocacy coalition is not a legal organization; it cannot give specific law-related advice or discuss the exact workings of case laws or if an organization violates franchise law.  However, WSI can be a clearinghouse for consumers who want to file claims against operators of the same old scams that have been around for millennia.

One caveat, though – the WSI advocacy group will make sure that all reports of poor business ethics, highly misleading advertising, and any scam on the net are thoroughly investigated before any organization is deemed to be an online scam.  WSI believes that this is the most ethical way to ensure that anyone visiting its site will get the truthful evidence they need to more comfortably exchange goods and services or make purchases via the Internet.

In the future, WSI expects to learn from other net-based advocacy programs committed to the cessation of phishing, scamming, spamming, defrauding, and basic lies.  This will no doubt help all consumers, information between advocacy groups’ websites can only serve the public, thus making it better for those who own legitimate online businesses to turn a profit.

If you’re serious about making cyberspace a better place to work and play, you can join the WSI’s coalition by visiting their website, telling others about their mission, and even contributing to WSI’s masterfile of anecdotal evidence about the ugly truth that is online swindling.  You can also make sure you’re informed by always looking into products and services between making commitments to buy or partner.  (And if you find any criminals out there, let WSI know about their existences and scams!)  By doing this, you will be helping to make the Internet a place where peddling hard sell techniques and finding new victims becomes more and more difficult for con artists.

Yes, there will always be “cheated people”; it’s a fact of life.  However, through the WSI “buyer beware” alerts, WSI’s research, and WSI’s basic alerts, individuals around the globe will be able to log on to their computers with the knowledge that their days of being “fools” is over.  Now, it’s the cheats and liars who are the fools, for their days, thanks to WSI and those who support it, are numbered.
